Calf roping isn't as easy as it looks! You have to be able to master many different skills and then put them all together atop a horse. While keeping one hand on the reins controlling your horse, your other hand is twirling a rope around trying to aim and throw it over a moving calf's head. Then you add a race to the whole event and there is a lot of excitement in the ring.
